Yesterday the famous jazz singer and actress Alice Babs died at the age of 90. She is mostly remembered for her breakthrough film “Swing it magister” and for performing with Duke Ellington in the 1960s. When Sweden first entered the Eurovision Song Contest in 1958, it was Alice Babs who represented Sweden with the song “Lila stjärna”. The monument captured on this photo was dedicated to Alice Babs at Saltsjöbaden in 2008.
