Each year since 2010 a European city is chosen to be the Green Capital of Europe. Stockholm was the very first city to be honoured with this title. It was followed by the cities of Hamburg, Vitoria- Gasteiz Nantes and Copenhagen. The reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 25% since 1990, the introduction of congestion charge in 2007, were only few of the reasons Stockholm was chosen.
